With spring around the corner, I expect to see my rabbit friends. About three years ago, a mother rabbit made her nest in our yard and gave birth to three bunnies. One died, but the other two spend time teaching me how fruitless it is to outsmart the rabbit. The furry darlings dined on my herbs as I made higher fences. They chewed on whatever grew over the fence. They helped themselves to the overflow from the bird feeder and occasionally nip off a flower blossom. In the end, the rabbits and all learn to co-exist. I eventually planted them their own garden.
Good thing I did because having a rabbit messenger is a good thing. Rabbits are commonly known for their fertility. This translates to more than bunnies, but success in your features. If a rabbit has appeared to you in your dreams or in person expect a current endeavor to move fast, perhaps even in leaps and bounds.
A rabbit is unfortunately dinner for many carnivores. He survives by his fast movement and quick thinking. The dogs have been outsmarted more than once by a rabbit who chose to stop and hold absolutely still as the hounds ran past him.
Rabbits don’t spend time arguing about what they don’t have; instead, they use what they do have. They as positive thinkers. While they plan for every possibility, they are also ready to work with what they have.
In many fables and folk tales, the rabbit is a trickster who uses guile to outwit his opponents. You would do if someone was trying to eat you. Rabbit people in general are very successful and creative. They make good mentors, coaches, and teachers.
