Most people do not think of the humble toad as a fantastic spirit animal. We prefer the more noble creatures such as eagles, panthers, and horses. I was especially impressed with a tiny toad that started from an amphibian about the size of my thumbnail and has steadily grown during the summer. I usually discover him when cutting grass. Obviously, I am very careful, but he doesn’t seem to fear the weedeater or me. Instead, he calmly moves to the patio or decorative bricks. He doesn’t speed off but remains in the area, which led me to wonder what message he carried.
If a toad comes to visit, it is more fortunate than you might think. He’s not bringing you warts as specified by old wives' tales. Instead, he’s the sign of inner strength and luck. His message is to draw on inner resources. You have exactly what you need. Toads are amazing creatures because they can live in seemingly inhospitable environments. They don’t have to have a handy pond nearby for survival like their frog cousins. The toad reminds you that you're much more capable and resourceful than you initially believed.
Luck comes with this messenger. Coincidences, fortunate meetings, lucky numbers, and creative endeavors are all an outpouring of luck. Money is often associated with the toad too. If it is money you need, then the toad is a very fortunate messenger. Often, money will come in different forms, not always the suspected one. If you need a car repair, a mechanic may knock down the price for you or a competent friend may offer to do it for you.
The toad also offers clear vision. With the toad comes self-reflection. Take the time to examine your path and to be certain you’re not bypassing opportunities or putting your faith in the wrong people. This is also a high period of change. The toad’s energy is strongest during spring and summer.
